Family Centered OT Services for All

Once families who seek services finally find someone to give them some answers, to help their child reach milestones, or to help them find much needed resources, they often end up going down dead end roads. They're put on wait-lists, providers tell them to wait to see if the problem goes away on its own, or the scheduling just doesn't work for their family.

My goal as an Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist is to do everything in my power to do what is best for the child AND their family. I am one provider who may not be able to provide all the interventions a child may need, but when a family comes to me for assistance I also become an advocate for them and my goal is to help families navigate a world that was built for "normal," and overcome any obstacle in their way.
